Officers are often called to help with things that may not be regular police duties but are important, such as jump-starting a car or helping fix door locks. Lowe’s donated tools to help with such tasks. Thank you, Lowe’s, for your generosity & helping our officers help others.

After receiving requests from residents to demolish Paradise Inn, council will hold a public hearing during the West End Neighborhood meeting on Sep. 26, along with the next two council meetings to receive input. Council will vote on the matter at the Oct. 11th council meeting.

Absolutely NO law enforcement agency (federal, state, or local), will ever ask or demand that you buy any sort of gift card. If a caller demands that you buy some sort of card to avoid a warrant, then it is a scam. Hand up and report it to ReportFraud.ftc.gov

Please don't drive this morning unless it's an emergency. The roads may just look slushy but to use a term from our youth, they are slicker than snot. City road crews are out working hard to plow/salt the roads as fast as they can. Conditions can change in a blink of an eye.
