I have absolutely no idea how the people that force Scrum or equivalent on the entire organization reconcile that with "self-organizing teams" or "give them the env & support they need, and trust them to get the job done." You'd think there'd be some cognitive dissonance, there.

I'm pleased to announce the release of Concordion 3.0.0. The Pegdown markdown parser has been replaced by Flexmark, which is faster, supports CommonMark and has additional extensions and configuration options. This release requires Java 8 or later and JUnit 4.

Detecting any as a generic type variable in #TypeScript is tricky. You can create a utility type that does it for you. It can help to prevent the accidental spreading of any across the codebase.

Append 'as const' at the end of an array, object or literal initialization to have more specific #TypeScript typing.

You can save a few characters in @typescript by declaring this generic function type alias. Especially useful for functions with many parameters.

Did you know that with @typescript you can provide multiple overloaded signatures for a function? This is especially useful for varargs and typed tuples to assure additional type-safety. typescriptlang.org/play/index.htm…

We really shouldn't be surprised that Google has turned their search engine into an ad engine. This is the basic, predictable playbook of monopoly power. Once the quality of the product stops mattering, because all competition has been vanquished, you raise prices. This is it.

When Google puts 4 paid ads ahead of the first organic result for your own brand name, you’re forced to pay up if you want to be found. It’s a shakedown. It’s ransom. But at least we can have fun with it. Search for Basecamp and you may see this attached ad.
