@mporeilly @jasonstaples You can also read more about this in Theodor Herzl’s short book The Jewish State. There was debate about the *location* for a Jewish state too, with some pushing for Uganda after the British government offered land there.

@mporeilly @jasonstaples Doc Staples is one of the most interesting biblical scholars out there IMO. Would love to see him interact with the likes of Tim Mackie, NT Wright, and Carmen Joy Imes. I have learned a lot from each.... and i'm 59 yrs old! Never too old learn!
