Here in Florida, it’s a big job getting each library book I have approved…worse when they’re rejected. Books that are loved like Skink, No Surrender are being rejected for being inappropriate for 6th grade. @CarlHiaasen what age is that book for?!

My favorite part of today: a student was done with their work and asked if playing on their phone was allowed. I directed them to my bookshelf instead. They accepted the book I offered, and asked to take it home to continue!!

My “Teach Me Tuesday” bellwork was a success today! The kids loved getting to flex a little bit on their teacher, and I now know some words in Russian, how to play Fortnite, the tuba, bake a lemon curd pie, and so much more!
