This week in MSED 640 we visited Kinderhaus Montessori School in Hyde Park. It was really interesting to see the ways this school was run, versus the traditional classroom that I am used to. I am very excited to take what I learned and apply it to my future classroom!
If you're subtracting from a number with a lot of 0s, subtract one from both numbers so you don't have to "borrow."

We have too much fun on a Wednesday night at Marist🦊
Our Engaged in Science Class had fun with the engineering design process this week. We were each given popsicle sticks, life savers, index cards, straws, and tape to create a cart that could roll down a ramp. It was so fun to see all the different designs people came up with!
Spent last nights class exploring activities, that we could you use to enhance science instruction in our classrooms. I can’t wait to implement some of these into my future classroom!
Literacy night at @VioletAvenueSch ! Students listened to a read aloud of the book “We’re All Wonders” and then shared what makes them a wonder! I loved hearing all their great responses!
I had a lot of fun today at Adriance Library for our Science Saturday! For my experiment, students helped me to create chemical reactions with baking soda and vinegar. This reaction created carbon dioxide bubbles which caused the ghosts (lima beans) to dance (rise and fall).

I’ve officially graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Special Education! Only one more year until I finish my Masters and am one step closer to having a classroom of my own! #neverstoplearning #ittakesabighearttoshapelittleminds
Happy Earth Day! 🌎Today, in second grade we spent a lot of time learning about the ways that we can help the Earth. They even chose to spend half of their recess picking up garbage around the field and playground!
We took a great trip to Sharpe Reservation yesterday! The second graders were so excited to use the map skills they were learning about to find their way around. It may have been cold and rainy, but we still had an amazing time!
Had a lot of fun at open house tonight! It was great to meet all of my second grader’s families. I loved how proud both the students and their families were of all their hard work!
