Had so much fun doing this fall activity with first grade @TraceElem where we got to go outside on the nature trail and find leaves that we then used to practice leaf rubbing! Was exciting to see all the veins that are on a leaf! 🍁🍂

Completed a Word Sort of short vowel CVC words with some students the other day to practice recognition of short vowel CVC words! Students loved guessing what short vowel was in each CVC word based on hearing!

I got to help my teacher and her class get ready for Open House by making this fun banner to present their “Rambling Projects.” Students got to create their own creations out of random materials! Practicing the school wide emphasis on STEAM in the classroom! #STEAM

Had a great time watching Trace Crossings Elementary celebrate Disability Awareness Week. This week included a parade that the special education class got to walk in, a charity game where the teachers played basketball in wheel chairs, and more! What a fun week!

Students should read 100 words in a minute! Thankfully teaching students to read fast is not the purpose. Rather it is teaching students to read fluently!
