Caught Oppenheimer again yesterday. Still blown away by it. Particularly impressed by Blunt's performance second time around. Again, adore the visual style and how cut-aways are edited into conversations. Front on cinematography of faces is sublime and add so much emotion! 10/10

Forgot to add in Barbie yesterday (Barbenheimer day was amazing!). Barbie is great! It's consistently funny and certainly not lacking in commentaries, most of which land very well. Overall its just such a fun film, it's impossible to not smile and laugh though it! 9/10

Saw Oppenheimer in IMAX this morning. Blown away (pun intended). This feels like a film from a director fully at their peak. Everything is sublime, the story, score, cinematography, editing and performances, all as good as they can get. Literally left the cinema shaking! 10/10

For now, I'll keep this tread going, close to fully dumping Twitter though! Saw Mission Impossible yesterday and was underwhelmed. Story was worse than Fallout and the action couldn't save it. Felt contrived to often. There is one stunning sequence though(not the parachute). 7/10

Also caught Elementals yesterday. Really disappointed by this one. Off the back of Soul, this falls so far short. Its unoriginal and largely uninspired. Incredibly predictable as well which removes what little fun there could have been here. Visually delightful though! 5.5/10

Little out of date, catch up time! Saw Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny last week. I had a good time with it. It's fun, doesn't take itself to seriously and certainly feels like an Indie film. The 3rd act gets a little weaker for me, but still miles better than Crystal Skull! 7/10

All 11 Wes Anderson in 24 hours complete. Finishing off with the new Asteroid City. The first 85% of the film had me hooked, loved the design of the film, decent music, good performances, lining up to be a top 5 Anderson. The last 10-15 mins is ridiculous though sadly! 7/10

Up to date, a brief pause before concluding the marathon. French Dispatch is certainly not one of the stronger films. It just lacks enough cohesion to fully work for me. Good performances though I'll give it that! 7/10

9 down, 2 to go. Isle of Dogs, great film but doesn't hit the same as Mr Fox. Though lumping them together as stop motion is their only main similarity, they are very different films. 7.5/10

8 films down.... thankfully with the masterpiece that is The Grand Budapest Hotel. The absolute best of the best, style, script, performances and music are all unequalled. 10/10

More a comment on the 24 hour marathon than Moonrise Kingdom because I slept about half of it. The old battery is draining, but its Budapest next so its time for sugar to get me through the last 4 films! Moonrise is how I remember, decent but easily outclassed by others. 6.5/10

Clean half dozen is Fantastic Mr Fox. Amazing film, some of the best music of the Anderson-verse! Incredible for a first film of stop motion picture! 8/10

Darjeeling Limited was number 5, spectacular Anderson close to his peak. Losing some momentum in the marathon though so had my eyes closed for some of it! Seen it before though so I can safely say its amazing. 8.5/10

Number 4, Steve Zissou, very strong entry. The score is particularly effective here, amusing props and sublime set design with the 2d slice of the boat! Energy isn't dropping like I feared, going strong in the 24 hour marathon! 7.5/10

3 down, 9 to go! Royal Tenenbaum, one of the weaker entries for me, still a good one, but not reaching close to the heady heights of others. Style is decent, score is largely unimpactful and the performances are fairly ordinary. 6.5/10

The marathon continues, I stand corrected, I hadn't seen Rushmore before. Amazing how quickly the regulars get brought into the cast of these! I can see the honing of the style and introduction of an incredible score! Does lose a little pace in the 3rd act though. 7/10

Start of a 24 hour Wes Anderson marathon. Film 1 done, Bottle Rocket, only Anderson film I hadn't seen before so a great way to kick it off! Love seeing his style from the very start, feels like Reservoir Dogs but a farce comedy. Highly enjoyable! 8/10
