I was hopeful that being moved from @CenturyLink to @brightspeed would be an upgrade, not so far. Connecting to them broke my wifi now 3 days into waiting for a new modem with no ETA. Same service different name.

On LinkedIn I keep reading "How do I set up an Agile team so that…" Managers creating teams is an anti-pattern. Agile teams "self organize." I take that literally. They organize (& manage) themselves. The team gets to decide whose on the team. This is not the Army.

Usually, when I see posts saying that we should replace Agile with something "more modern," the thing they describe as the replacement for Agile _is_ Agile. The thing they want to replace is some perversion of Agile thinking that doesn't work.

I see "regulated" as an excuse for bad process entirely too often. I've worked in regulated environments. Auditors were perfectly happy with TDD tests as specs & git logs as an audit trail. You don't need bureaucratic process & artifacts & heavyweight surveillance tools like Jira

Imagine that the local firefighters worked at 100% capacity. You wouldn't be vary happy when your house caught fire. "We'll put you on the backlog. Don't worry, we will get around to you, eventually." Works no better for software dev.
