Interesting study to predict pain in children w cavities in their primary teeth. We spend a lot of money, I’d actually say waste, in this pursuit of prevention of pain. We can’t prevent pain but most children aren’t having pain when their cavities are left alone… ponder that!!!

Human enamel at the time of eruption is highly porous… if the enamel doesn’t rapidly mineralize from saliva this person has teeth that are susceptible to the environment. It’s a crap shoot if this happens because we haven’t explained this phenomena to our patients… 2009…
