I am getting better every day. This was on Saturday. I haven't looked so well and so much like myself since before I had my stroke in March '23. To think 7 months ago two doctors told me I was about to die, and I am reliably told I looked like it. So thrilled to be "me" again.

In all the outpouring of love and admiration for Allan Ahlberg, I haven't seen anyone mention his poignant, moving, and amusing childhood memoir, The Bucket. Great book. When strapped for cash I sold my pristine copy of Peepo! signed by both Allan & Janet. Needs must.

It's not often a book comes that takes your breath away. Such is the case with this wonderfully researched and accessibly written account of the slow demise of paganism in Eastern/Northern Europe. So much I didn't know. @DrFrancisYoung - congratulations on a brilliant book.
