That said, get ready for a rocky 1–2 weeks. Hopefully it’ll be worth it. Report bugs to Valve or share them here/reddit, do it for the community, not for them. And please: no individual dev harassment. Critique the game,or the company,or even the cs team, not the individuals.

10 months ago a Valve dev said they were working to replace the animation system and that wasn’t “network efficient”. It was the same one used in Half-Life: Alyx. Now, it’s finally being replaced with one built specifically for CS2. This could change everything.

About the update and Valve’s approach(pls read all): Alright, it’s the day after the patch, time to be real. This is finally a step in the right direction. If anything can make or break @CounterStrike , it’s this new animation system. They said it was coming, and now it’s here.

new update caps how many subtick inputs you can make in a single tick the cap is low enough for basic strafes to be ignored when jumping, strafing and moving your mouse at the same time... what were they thinking with this one..
