While questioning HB383…the CIVIL version of HB355 (right to drive through crowd) Rep Newell of New Orleans called out the lack of clarity in Rep Galle of Mandeville bill that would limit the civil lawsuit liability of a driver who kills someone with their car.
Rep Galle’s bill stipulates that someone has to feel like their life is being threatened…but it leaves it completely wide open to the interpretation of the individual behind the wheel.
