Netflix's Baby Reindeer is a British drama hit show! It's a profound life lesson wrapped in a gripping narrative and in my opinion a dark and unhealed story. 🧵
/ Donny and Martha's story really got under my skin, thanks to the masterful storytelling by Richard Gadd. Richard's portrayal of a broken man is a stroke of genius reminiscent of the storytelling prowess of Gervais and Merchant. #BabyReindeer
/ Episode 6 got me thinking about some interesting details. Why did Richard finish the police email with ".co.gb" instead of ".co.uk"? Was it an intentional error or a subtle artistic choice, considering the email addresses don't exist?
/ Also, the use of "sent from my ihpon" or "sent from my iPhone” when the character actually had a Samsung or Nokia or just old phone added an extra layer of depth to the narrative. #iphoneonly
/ The ending of the series beautifully distinguishes between the rapist and the stalker, offering a poignant reflection on the complexities of human behaviour. And the portrayal of Keeley and her mom is simply exquisite, adding depth and richness to the storyline. #BabyReindeer
