A common bird here in the #Gambia Pied Crow a large bird similar in size to a Raven. Numerous but deserves a post, taken from the compound.

Good afternoon. Not sure why I've not posted a Yellow- billed Kite before now. Maybe because they are so numerous. Perhaps its right familiarity breeds contempt, but it's a nice looking bird and deserves a post. Kotu area the #Gambia.

Good morning. Several posts of lifer birds for record purposes, which didn't get a post on their own. Usually because of poor backgrounds. I like to post a lifer at least once. Grey Woodpecker, B B Wood-Dove, Common Bubul, Great Cormorant, Lanner Falcon & Little Swift.

Good afternoon. Set up a feeding area on the apartment veranda a few weeks back. Lots of Weavers coming each day. Young being fed & males in breeding plumage, Village & Little both which I've not posted before.

Good afternoon. Woken up this morning by Senegal Thicknees calling, which isn't unusual, but they mostly stay hidden. They showed well on the neighbours compound roof today though. Nice way to wake up.

Good morning. Finally got out yesterday afternoon after few days in because of the rain. Always nice to get some behavioural shots. Looked like these Woodland Kingfishers were doing some mating displays. Cycle track Kotu Gambia.

Good morning . Nice day yesterday on home watch from the veranda because of rain. Three new house ticks, c50 2 flocks of G W Pelicans, 5 Hamerkop & Abassynian Roller, that makes 35 seen. Gambia always surprises me with its variety of birds.
