NIPFN is this morning launching National Information Platform for Food Security and Nutrition (NIPFN) Policy Research Papers. The Policy Research Papers provide evidence-based policy recommendations that aims to advance efforts to strengthen food security and nutrition in Kenya.

The overall average score on Food Security and Nutrition Index was 0.44 – which indicates moderate food security and nutrition in Kenya – with significant variations across different sectors. Health, water, & education sectors performed relatively better. nipfn.kippra.or.ke/download/statu…
The @nipfnkenya study examined the four pillars of food security and their influence on nutrition in the 47 counties. The study recommends strengthening the four pillars to enhance food security comprehensively. nipfn.kippra.or.ke/download/food-…
The @nipfnkenya study reveals that having sufficient drinking water at the household level significantly reduces child stunting. Adequacy of water of 20-49 L per person per day as opposed to below 20L lowers the probability of stunting by 6.3% points. nipfn.kippra.or.ke/download/effec…

The @nipfnkenya today paid a courtesy call to Baringo County Governor, Hon.Benjamin Cheboi. Discussions focused on findings and policy recommendations from NIPFN nutrition policy research and the roll out of NIPFN in the County.
The @nipfnkenya undertook dissemination of research findings and policy recommendations from eight nutrition policy research papers and county nutrition index in Nandi, Garissa, Bomet and Uasin Gishu County. The workshop was attended by Senior County Officers.
The @nipfnkenya this week continued with the dissemination of research findings and recommendations from studies focused on the devolved units. The team visited Nyamira, Kisii, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori and Siaya Counties and disseminated findings from eight nutrition studies.
The @nipfnkenya conducted county dissemination workshop in Kericho County on 2nd September 2024. The dissemination focused on research findings and policy recommendations from eight nutrition policy research papers in Mandera County and nutrition index.
