Coding #Bitcoin in @SwiftLang is a walk in the park compared to C++ or even @rustlang … and you get the same guarantees (actually more because of actors/data-race safety) – I don't understand why aren't there more people doing it… anyway @SwiftBitcoinOrg is open for contribs!

I get a lot of questions, so here's the latest. libbitcoin-node is functionally complete as a blocks-only node, sufficient for non-mining. It syncs to 900k in < 1 hour on a $350 mini over 2.3Gbps Internet. Work has moved to public query via libbitcoin-server for RPC compat.

On Ark, you can be a self-custodial bitcoin user without *ever* hitting the chain. Just get your first sats over Ark and do your spending over Ark and Lightning. Technically you never have to offboard or exit (...but you have peace of mind knowing it's always an option!).

We should explore what true diversity of #bitcoin clients could look like. #Core and #Knots are basically the same impl with few changes. Custom builds can even be more diverse.. also many running old versions. We wouldn't have this debate if we had diversity of implementations!
