Today we’re launching a bold new vision: an open-source static site generator — Observable Framework — for creating fast, beautiful data apps you can host anywhere. Use JavaScript for interactive graphics with Python, R, or any language for data analysis. observablehq.com
@observablehq Quick question, is there a tool that converts regular Observable notebooks into Observable framework docs?
@observablehq Incredible work, especially markdown as a page source. Absolutely love that choice. Excited to see what the community does with this, but overall I hope to see dashboarding evolve in the same way y'all made notebooking evolve. This feels like a call for the field to mature a bit.
@observablehq Maybe it worth a try to make a plugin for obsidian that can render the Observable notebook in the local environment. It would be a game changer for the note taking experience.
@observablehq @Harry_Stevens Is there any sort of article or guide of for how someone who had a ggplot data viz background without a lot of wider JS/tech knowledge could begin testing this?
@observablehq Nice to see this. I have been using Observable for a while now and it's a great tool. I'm excited to see how it evolves. 1/N
@observablehq Did you give up on the "custom js" idea? Love observable and everything you make.
@observablehq Congrats and thanks! "available by default as SQLite in Markdown" -> What does this mean? ```SQLite select 1 ``` doesn't seem to trigger it observablehq.com/framework/lib/…
