Released meow-mtl version 0.4.0. Much of the same, but bumped cats/cats-effect/etc to latest stable versions. It's also now split into different modules, including a new one for ApplicativeLocal via @monix TaskLocal.

Hello better-monadic-for users, Dotty will only allow pre-typer plugins in nightly builds, so if we want to continue using its fancy features in production, we should aim for directly changing the language. I started a thread here: contributors.scala-lang.org/t/pre-sip-impr… RTs appreciated.

It took me implementing my own, but now I can really appreciate the expressiveness, convenience and power of STM. Datastructures with cancellation support? Concurrent mutable state? Pff, easy-peasy, just let me import something...

BTW, stm4cats 0.1.0-M1 is out. It's M1 because it has no documentation 😅, but I don't expect either API or internals to change significantly by actual 0.1.0.

I'm slowly growing to appreciate utest by @li_haoyi more and more. BS-free style is good, macro asserts are somewhat neat, but being able to seamlessly integrate IO and fs2 streams... That's priceless.
