Louis CK: "I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen."
@oliverdarcy Extremely intelligent guy, good letter of remorse. God bless our country . . . .
@chelliehylton @rusteenh @oliverdarcy I WISH that a particular person were man enough to apologize to me, to say "I truly am so sorry I hurt you so long ago." That's all I need. I'll bet there are many of us who really need to hear those semi-healing words.
@chelliehylton @rusteenh @oliverdarcy Thank you Michelle, I'm so sorry too. Sitting here with tears in my eyes, this is all bringing back some pretty painful memories. It actually ruined my marriage too ... the guilt ... blaming myself ... YOU know what I'm talking about.
@oliverdarcy Once upon a time such shame and humiliation would have been unbearable for a gentleman and he would have taken his life. Now it seems we just “move on”.
@oliverdarcy First one I have seen to admit being a perv and not call the women liars and whores trying to protect his empire. Shame on you #LouisCK
@oliverdarcy yet #louisckperv is not trending.
@oliverdarcy @triketora Wow, as much as he did horrible, unforgivable things, I admire the honesty in his confession, and I wish more celebrities and people in positions of power would do the same.
@chelliehylton @Celine1979xxxxx @protocolin26 @rhonda_harbison @rusteenh @oliverdarcy You know I never really talk about it but I think it's very important that we look at all sides of the issue. It's easy to say "report it" but there are many things in the way of just reporting it including:police, cultural norms corruption and the way that people treat accusers
@Lotusfinity @Celine1979xxxxx @protocolin26 @chelliehylton @rhonda_harbison @rusteenh @oliverdarcy I'm so sorry this happened to you Margot. Thanks so much for having the courage to share your story with me.
