A timely bit of advice I give to many clients is to drastically reduce their news consumption; you don't need the distraction and the constant reduction in happiness. If you must, find a reputable source, and only look at their content at a specific, scheduled moment in the day.

If you work from home, you have 2 options to maintain work/personal boundaries and stay sane: #1: Have a dedicated desk/working area where the only thing you do there is work. #2: Unpack all of your work equipment at the start of your day and pack it again when you're done.

Advice from Nir Eyal - Indistractable: One of the best ways to make lasting changes is to "become a noun". By assigning yourself a moniker, you increase the chances of following through with behaviors consistent with what you call yourself. Call yourself “athletic” for example.
