Our Catholic faith is reasonable. We pray at Mass and ask God to make the oblation on the altar reasonable. Fiducia Supplicans makes unreasonable demands on our intellect and should be rejected.

How is the final blessing at Mass the same thing as the spontaneous non-liturgical, non-priestly, non-Church blessing of Fiducia Supplicans? Yet that’s what some argue as justification. You can’t make this stuff up it’s so ridiculous!

It would seem strange to hold that a pope who encouraged this sort of thing would still have a claim to have his teachings believed or his laws and precepts obeyed.
