I ❤️Nvidia RAPIDs. @JawaVibhu wrote an article about using RAPIDs & HuggingFace for NLP on GPU, not CPU. Speedup is amazing. cuDF tokenizer is up to 483x faster than CPU. Great job combining multiple products for incredible speedups. medium.com/rapids-ai/stat… @MarkIIISystems #NLP

One of the drawbacks of BERT, a state-of-the-art framework for NLP is that with QA, it can only handle short passages. Looks like Google may have fixed that problem with Big Bird. No code released yet, so the jury is still out. arxiv.org/pdf/2007.14062… @MarkIIISystems #nlp #ai
