🪐 Introducing Galactica. A large language model for science. Can summarize academic literature, solve math problems, generate Wiki articles, write scientific code, annotate molecules and proteins, and more. Explore and get weights: galactica.org
We believe models should be open. To accelerate science, we open source all models including the 120 billion model with no friction. You can access them here. github.com/paperswithcode…
@paperswithcode very cool! would be awesome to have the weights on Hugging Face!
@paperswithcode Asked it to simplify the following code:
@paperswithcode @paperswithcode epic model! Noticed the wait time for inference is >5min though thanks to the hug of death if you want to host this with more scale w/o higher costs, @BananaDev_ is here 🙂
@paperswithcode This is amazing, congrats team!
@paperswithcode Adding to my ai newsletter bensbites.beehiiv.com
@paperswithcode Well, it gets an F on the first question related to my specialty that I asked it. The response to something on a different area was so simplistic as to be similar to a book review written by someone who had not read the book.
@paperswithcode Thank you for sharing! How many FLOP did it take to train the model?
@paperswithcode What a time to be alive 🍻, probably in four years time when it reach perfection level, all teachers and students around the world will uese it.
@paperswithcode Wow this is great! I can't wait to try this out.
@paperswithcode Amazing work @rosstaylor90 @rbstojnic! 🚀
@paperswithcode @misterkardas Is the hp still online?
@paperswithcode When it says "𝙖𝙨𝙠 𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨" and "𝘼𝙄 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮'𝙨 𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚", this messaging makes me nervous:
@paperswithcode Wondering if #plagiarism checking applications will ever catch up. Usually a text has to exist before plagiarism can be detected. If whole reports are generated on the fly, they will not be detectable. This raises the bar on the philosophical question: What is plagiarism?
@paperswithcode Nice but the content filters are a little too careful :D
@paperswithcode It's so amazing. Galactica even can write a review for the certain field (i.e., Sentiment Analysis), derive the SVM, and tell me what's the linear regression algorithm! It's just that the length of generated content seems to be limited?
@paperswithcode Galactica: Wiki article on land squid Land squid have evolved a series of adaptations to help them survive on land. They have developed large, fleshy fins to aid in locomotion. They have developed large, thick mantles to help retain moisture.
@paperswithcode #galactica is mind blowing. aronbrand.medium.com/galactica-the-…
@paperswithcode As this model also has the capabilities of writing citations, is there already a standard on how to correctly specify the use of AI-assisted writing for writing papers?
