On Molokai'i a few days ago... I heard about clock's being changed in March from someone's post on Facebook, and I got jetlag just thinking about it... and then remembered that I'm assigned now back in Hawaii. We don't do that here! :)
Moving to new assignment on Molokai... years after studying about Fr. Damien in 5th grade...saying I would never join a religious congregation that would send a priest alone to an island. God has a sense of humor.

Hidden hero/forgotten hero: Arland D. Williams Jr. Nobody recalls his name now. Great guy. Look him up. So many forgotten goodness. Why is it we don't remember, and don't celebrate.
Hidden Hero: Joseph Dutton...he was a person who struggled with addiction. He then moved to Molokai to help Fr. Damien, ss.cc. with those with Hansen's Disease (leprosy). He survived Fr. Damien's death and served for another 40 years with the folks on Kalaupapa.
Be aware of your life surroundings... Realize what you are doing and where you are going, otherwise you could end up... well...

Forgotten good news...Jose Nuñez Romaniz. Buying socks online for his grandpa. Had to go to the local Wells Fargo ATM to deposit funds so he could pay online. When he to the ATM, he found a plastic bag marked $60,000. He called 911. Police discovered it was actually $135,000.
When you are going in for surgery... and for some reason can only center on part of the parking lot sign...

Had the Covid in January. Got my first shot of Moderna on March 17 (of all days). Symptoms came with 100.2 temp. Second shot yesterday. Temp today 100.8 so be aware symptoms can stop u for a couple of days! Remembrance Fr Damien’s death today. He cared like first responders.
