I visited ‘six tanks’ in Darwin today to have lunch with a friend. The disabled toilets were upstairs – no lift, escalator or ramp was available.
Does Australia really need a state-based version of ACOSS in every state and territory - its indulgent. Or is there a case for it? It's time to have a difficult conversation, I think.

A “foundation” walked away with $18 million without a competitive process. Appalling. GG must explain his role in securing funding from Morrison. Talk of “Royal” associations won’t carry it. I’ve written to the Federal Treasurer asking for full inquiry and return of the money.
I have a natural empathy for disabled people, but the people I truly feel sorry for are Health Professionals. Imagine working in a system that marginalises disabled people, and that your employer is a willing participant in a sponsored money laundering syndicate.
