The world sucks and this site is dying, but I’m running a 10k in Samarkand tomorrow <6 months after being hit by a car. So at least there’s that.

NB: I am *incredibly* fortunate that my (serious) injuries weren’t more permanent, that my partner could cut short his sabbatical to provide 24/7 care in our (relatively) accessible home & that my company offered unwavering support throughout an unpredictable recovery trajectory.
