(1/5) some thoughts from the @andy_pavlo review: yes, we're guilty of 'Shoving Ducks everywhere'... pg_mooncake added transactional writes from Postgres to columnstore (iceberg). It feels like the final touch to complete the analytics in PG experience.

As @andy_pavlo stated in the paper "What Goes Around Comes Around... And Around...". Data Lake/ Lakehouse with cloud storage and open table formats will be the OLAP DBMS archetype for the next ten years. We believe doing it inside Postgres should follow the same principles.
