#day7 The cores in the ESP32 are labeled “Core 0” and “Core 1.” Core 0 i.e. “Protocol Core”. In default ESP32 , protocol-related tasks, like WiFi and Bluetooth, are assigned to this core. Core 1 is known as the “APP CPU,” which is responsible for running user applications.

#day4 Mutex. To remove the race condition(i.e shared Critical Section), using Semaphore. xSemaphoreTake(mutex,timeout) "acquire the lock" and xSemaphoreGive(mutex) "release the lock" . Helps that it can't be interrupted by another task in shared resouces. #rtos #electronics

#day3 Static, Heap , Stack allocations. FreeRTOS, malloc() and free() are not considered thread safe. So, it’s recommended that to use pvPortMalloc() and vPortFree() instead. Memory will be allocated from the system’s global heap (instead of the heap allocated for the task).

#day2 FreeRTOS, created two separate tasks. One listens for an integer over UART. The other task blinks the builtin LED with a specified value. Created a multi-threaded system that allows for the user interface to run concurrently with the control task. #esp32 #electronics
