Yet another media report on the wholly inadequate proposed Canada Disability Benefit @CHEK_News
Indeed, this feels like a significant step backward, akin to returning to the old Canadian Red Ensign instead of the modern flag of Canada that we've come to recognize. I vividly remember the thrill of seeing the new Canadian flag flying during the 1967 Centennial Year when I was just six years old. Similarly, the federal government, specifically the Liberal government, has disappointingly made no effort to elevate the Canada Disability Benefit to match the poverty line of $2,200, instead offering a mere $200 a month. This amount is painfully inadequate. Indeed, this situation reflects a regression, as if we are reverting to the old Canadian Red Ensign instead of embracing the current flag of Canada. 👈😎👍📱♾👁🗨💬🛰️🆘 #AccessibilityLens 2024
@princepolity @CHEK_News Check my pinned we are working on a disabled peoples revolt but I’m getting super shadowbanned All we need is a few Canadians with a bit of extra money But we can’t do it without that. The one thing we don’t have is money
@princepolity @CHEK_News Canada decided to spend the taxes paid by hard-working citizens on hotels and medical care for fake asylum claimants instead of disabled Canadians, so here we are.
@princepolity @CHEK_News @liberal_party should be ashamed. #PeopleWithDisabilities have been patient. The time it's taken for a #CDB is #unfair! We're struggling with inflation and the only damn people who are ignored + living in #legislatedpoverty. We still NEED a #DERB today + getting no #PM help.
@princepolity @CHEK_News I think the only way to get this party to pay attention and make a difference is to shame them on the world stage Sadly, I feel they will not do any thing unless the pride is in question
@princepolity @CHEK_News Thank you please keep pushing the media.
