Its intern season @coinbase and I've been asked the same question a few times: How do you quickly improve early in your career? My advice: Practice via others. When you're junior you watch a lot of people do stuff (code, plan, TDDs, present, etc). Put yourself in that person's shoes. What would you do if you were in their position? Watch what they do. Was it effective? Why or why not? If what they did was good, what was good about it? By reflecting deeply on what makes other people effective and thinking about what you would do in their position, you effectively simulate being further along in your career. This gives you "practice reps" so you're ahead of the curve when its your turn to do things.
