lmao when you use huggingface-cli to download a model it taps out at 42 MB/s by default bc, in their own words, it’s written in Python when you enable hf_transfer, written in Rust, GCP VM gets 1.1 GB/s

In today's episode of "What am exactly I waiting for here?" I waited for Visual Studio to open 477 projects in a Unity Engine generated solution. It took > 15min. Did I attach a profiler? Why of course I did, because I ran out of patience and @superluminal_sft is my only friend.

Creating the object takes 2.8s. Deleting the object takes roughly 16s. Running the actual operation takes 125ms. So about 99.5% is just overhead. 4/n
