I remember something similar happened to one of the 3rd graders during my 1st year of teaching. Mom thought she got 2 boys. Nope, one was a girl and had babies. Then, before she could get the babies separated, they reproduced! She begged me to take one. I couldn't with my cats.

Jesus' harshest words were directed towards those who used their religion as a tool of oppression and self serving power. Jesus' harshest words were directed towards religious hypocrisy. Not the poor, the immigrant, or the unbeliever. May we remember this.

Maybe it shouldn’t anymore, but it still shocks me how dehumanizing the former president is. Towards women, immigrants, and others like the disabled yet again. What shocks me even more is how people continue to support and justify such rhetoric. Only fear and hate can do that.

Jesus served the poor, the stranger, the different, the marginalized, the oppressed, and those with disabilities. If the politicians you support are constantly demonizing the same people Jesus served, you can’t blame people for wondering if you actually follow Jesus at all.
