I see and hear of local people who are receiving rental support as a benefit but then don’t want to earn to much because if they go over the threshold they lose their rent support. The system seems to bake in disincentives to be able to become free of it

Objections should include alternative, viable solutions for addressing the housing needs of the island.

@alasdair_milroy @pvbsc1 @MaryLowe501 Had similar thoughts whilst on the DLR from London City a few weeks ago. Developments of that nature much needed in Guernsey. Don't believe it will happen though, too many are against any form of development but won't say what they would do to solve the housing/labour shortfall.

@pvbsc1 @Govgg Sursis was expected to fall. There were concerns about its construction & effect. Perceptions of delay were always going to concern a new States eager to be active. The States looks likely to set up school boards controlled from top to bottom by the Education Committee & Office.
