This is kinda funny, but I think about the fact that FB has real software & security practices, while much of our energy infrastructure runs on old Windows installs, networked SCADA systems made in China, & similar jank. If this can happen to FB for whatever reason... 😬

NIST does not have any documents on how it came up with NIST's standard elliptic curve parameters: muckrock.com/foi/united-sta… These seeds came from the NSA in the late 1990s, likely from Jerry Solinas. This is most likely not ominous, but just an open question.
