I became an ICU nurse at the end of July in 2020, during one of the first peaks of covid when it was all still so new. I learned how to be a nurse behind a respirator and a yellow gown, amidst the constant beeping and hissing of ventilators that couldn't support failing lungs.

I’ve decided to finally get my CCRN. My hospital is offering a 2 day course this summer, but besides that, what are some other good ways to study? My 4 years have been all MICU, so will need great cardiac resources to study.

Spent $740 at the eye dr today between exam, 1 yr supply of contacts & a pair of glasses. And that was WITH my insurance… it’s not like I chose to not be able to see.. 🥲

If an ETOH patient is in the hospital for an unrelated problem and doesn’t want to stop drinking why do we force them into withdrawal. Just go back to carefully dosing them with alcohol on meal trays
