I don’t think people realize how vital immigrants are to the function of our society. Construction, street building, farming, waste removal. All very vital parts of the American machine snapping your fingers and sending everyone away will create a much larger vacuum than Americans are ready to fill. The system has been exploiting immigrant labor for years. This is a fundamental failure of giant companies not paying living wages and our government not willing to hold said giant companies accountable. It’s definitely not the immigrants fault. Creating that vacuum of labor would be far more expensive than finding a pathway to citizenship for hard working people who add to the economy and industry of America!
