🚨🦜 Released/escaped green & yellow domestic parakeet seen yesterday where W72nd St meets the West Drive inside Central Park. (Enter park at W 72nd/CPW and follow W72 aka Terrace Dr down the hill to the W Dr.) Budgie has been there for a few days. Spotters/Video: Tom & Bobby. 🙏

My and @davidlei’s research for Finding Flaco enabled us to learn more about owl vocalizations. Male great horned owl territorial hoots typically contain 4-5 notes, which is consistent with recordings of Gerald(ine)’s hoots taken by ⁦⁦⁦⁦⁦@r2junot⁩. Cont’d

I've received Finding Flaco, a priceless visual & historical account of Flaco's freedom year. As one of the owlers who followed Flaco I can say that this is the only Flaco book written by owlers who knew & observed him. David & Jacqueline have created a glittering masterpiece.

2 Fox Sparrows seen 2:30pm Wed 11/13 in the Central Park Ramble. They were eating sunflower seeds left on pedestrian path by someone who may not know 1. these shells = toxic trash 2. drawing birds to paths puts them at risk 3. birds already have enough naturally available food.

Cont juv Red-tailed Hawk seen 11:45am-12:15pm Wed 11/13 on Central Park's Great Lawn & by the Met. He claimed then ditched a dropped/cached carcass on the BF2 backstop then flew to the Met. This is George's baby boy which means the TCC fam is now hunting in Octavia's territory.
