This has been such an excellent year for software system design in ML. So, I compiled a list of some of my favorite papers 📜in MLOps.
Here are some of my favorite ones till date⤵️
Introducing Lexica – a search engine for AI-generated images and prompts.
Every image has a prompt and seed, so you can copy and remix anything for yourself.
Hopefully this makes Stable Diffusion prompting a bit less of a dark art and more of a science!

Research in AI is surprisingly more accessible to people with different backgrounds compared to other fields.
Anyone (w/ relevant experience) can contribute to impactful research.
Here are 5 research orgs you can join to contribute to real, open research in deep learning ↓
🔥The ML Reproducibility Challenge is back!
The 6th edition now expands to papers from 11 ML conferences: NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, CVPR, ECCV, AAAI, IJCAI-ECAI, ACM FAccT & SIGIR.
ML journals included this year: JMLR, TACL, & TMLR.

📢 New & improved material to dive into geometric deep learning! 💠🕸️
We (@mmbronstein @joanbruna @TacoCohen) delivered our Master's course on GDL @AIMS_Next once again & we make all materials publicly available!

Great post on the technical challenges of training a 176B Transformer Language Model. ~10 years ago you'd train neural nets on your CPU workstation with Matlab. Now need a compute cluster and very careful orchestration of its GPU memory w.r.t. both limits and access patterns.

So many transformer explanations want me to intuitively understand what's happening. I just want to understand what the code does. This is 25 lines of pure functional code which helped me, and might others.

Here is the NewInML schedule for next Monday (July 18) at @icmlconf 2022! We are excited to welcome you and our speakers :) If you plan to attend the workshop (on-site or online), fill out this form: forms.gle/AsZMwywhZb7bWF…
The advance of ML had made mentoring much easier for me.
Past:
"What are your research interests? RL? ML theories? Hmmm I am not really an expert of those."
Now:
"I see that you worked on X, Y and Z in the past. But you want to do prompt engineering with me right?" 🙃
