As TK Jose IAS, KL 1988, retires this month after 34 glorious years of service,time to recognise his contribution as perhaps the only IAS officer in the country ever to directly create lakhs of livelihood opportunities for poor women workers(through the Kudumbashree SHG movement)

Yet the death rate thankfully remains low and the developed nations , and their journalists and news agencies can’t tolerate this; the Stubborn absence of mass casualties of the scale of US and UK , seems to be driving them crazy. The drain inspectors are at their wit’s end!

The story of India’s fight against Covid 19 is of individual states using their administrative capacity , with limited help from Government of India. The outcomes, inevitably reflect the capacity of their administrative and particularly their health systems.

The Covid 19 outbreak is also a time to recognise that everyone who though FCI was a white elephant has been proven wrong as India sits comfortably on enough food stocks to last two years and can even help out friendly nations.

👍to the administration and people of Kerala for the war on #COVID__19 : daily discharges far exceed daily new infections, restricted secondary spread & while international mortality rate is 5.75, rate in Kerala is a mere 0.58 with just 2 death:the best performing State.
