Bird strikes have been the biggest hull loss threat for T-45 historically for two reasons. First, bases are in major migratory flyaways - meaning sharing the airspace with big bids. Second - F405 / Adour is a small motor. Can’t really handle ingesting vultures or raptors.

If true, this is a remarkable stowaway survivable story. Time en-route for RQ4401 is roughly 1+30 hrs, and Kam Air flight cruised at or above 30,000' for ~45 minutes. Time of useful consciousness at FL300 is only 1-2 minutes. Amazing that this young man survived!
