Wow look at our busy STEM week!! We have been making models out of recycled materials and following challenge cards to build bridges, robots and buildings.

Wow look at our busy STEM week!! We have been following instructions to make wedgets, looking at what things float and sink in the water tray, building models with blocks in the sand and using magnets to investigate which are metal and plastic.

Wow! Look at this! Just four months ago this little boy started reception with no English language skills and unable to hold a pencil and form letters. Now he can independently write his name, is beginning to recognise familiar letters...and he is so proud of it!!!

We had an amazing 'when and where' week last week. Reception have started their new topic looking at traditional tales. We have been working so hard to learn the story of The Princess and the Pea.

Reception have enjoyed their first session with sports coach Mike. We have been finding spaces and negotiating around obstacles. We have been looking at different ways of moving our bodies; jumping, running, moving forwards, backwards and sideways.

This morning we have had the pleasure of Jill and Tracey telling us the Christmas story. We have been mouse detectives and have found clues to explain the story and characters.

We were lucky enough to have a music session with Vicky from Stockport music services today. We got to sing, dance and use musical instruments. We talked about rhythm and practised clapping and tapping to the rhythm.
