The locals who supported our mission in Afghanistan are our loyal allies. My bill which passed the House this week would help us fulfill our promise to protect them from continued Taliban threats.

This is a Department of Defense talking point. You may recall that the Pentagon has recently failed its seventh audit in a row. It is the nation’s largest government agency and it's unable to fully account for more than $824 billion in spending. A reasonable person would question any expenditure for DOD related purposes, especially in light of the military debacle in Afghanistan. @n1leftbehind
@repdinatitus Thank you for your continues support. We hope the Afghan relocation efforts stay bipartisan and this is a collective success.
Those of you who were fully aware of the threats, mistreatment, and crimes of the Taliban, how could you hand over all the resources and achievements of the twenty years of the Republic of Afghanistan to this cruel and backward group? How could you casually destroy all the progress, institutions, and systems built during this time and then leave Afghanistan, effectively fleeing the country? How could you allow a terrorist and criminal group to rule the fate of the Afghan people while still claiming to defend the people of this country? Now that the Taliban is in power, what answer do you have for these historic betrayals? You who showed indifference to the crimes and oppression of this group, now, from thousands of kilometers away, are trying to speak about human rights and the Afghan people. The harsh reality is that you are not exerting any real pressure on the Taliban and, instead, you are strengthening their system of oppression by paying them millions of dollars monthly. In truth, every dollar you pay to the Taliban is like pouring gasoline on the fire of repression and cruelty. You now hold the greatest pressure point over the Taliban: cutting off financial aid. But you know full well that you will not take this step, because your political and economic interests are preserved in this situation, and the people of Afghanistan continue to suffer under oppression, violence, and poverty. Do you truly believe that continuing these policies will help the people of Afghanistan? Your deceptive writings and repetitive speeches, claiming to defend the people of Afghanistan and human rights, will not alleviate any of their suffering. The people of Afghanistan are now facing genocide and systematic repression, while you continue to engage with a group that blatantly disregards human rights. These are the same misguided policies you pursued from the beginning of your invasion of Afghanistan, and now, with a change of tactics, you are strengthening the very group that has soaked its hands in the blood of thousands. Hasn't the time come for you to take real and decisive action to end the crisis in Afghanistan, rather than offering ineffective rhetoric? Don't you realize that continuing these wrong policies will only lead to more suffering and pain for the people of Afghanistan?
@repdinatitus The time has come for the United States to honor its commitments to its allies, especially the Afghan prosecutors who stood by America for 20 years. Now, it's America's turn to ensure their safety. Save the Afghan prosecutors!
@repdinatitus Her Excellency, I was working as legal interpreter and translator with JSSP Project Justice Sector Sport Project implemented by PAE now called Amentum, for 3 months, I have travelled to US too for an official visit.I asked Amentum to refer me to P2 program but they don’t. Help me
@repdinatitus How about tossing a some of the cash you're throwing to other countries into your precinct. Palm between Charleston and Fremont is almost undrivable.
@repdinatitus Stop sending taxpayers dollar to fund foreign anything, or at least stop sending money to the Taliban!
@repdinatitus Maybe you could get back some of the $80 BILLION worth of weapons you all left for the Taliban… I guess that would tend to lend credibility to their threats…
@repdinatitus Thanks Ms Dina for caring about Afghans

@repdinatitus Thank you. Today, the Afghan prosecutors and other allies of the United States of America need immediate support and assistance. I hope that the Senate will pass this bill.
