@CompareSoftware I think we as a community of digital health specialists need to call out the IT leadership within @NHSEngland as being incompetent to make decisions affecting NHS IT. There is no effective CLINICAL leadership and there is far too much expensive consultancy being bought in.

I don't agree that an organisation of the size and budget of the NHS "was always going to need help from the private sector" - that is a Tory-era neoliberal self-fulfilling prophecy peddled by the unimaginative and clueless.

I’ve seen this a few times. While I agree aspirations and resilience are important for everyone (& living in poverty for decades literally alters brain function)… there’s no way to solve mass poverty without addressing the root problems of our economic policies that create them.

It's public money that we spend. If the product / service is brilliant, why should anyone be shy or keen to gag critical feedback? Why won't suppliers want to know where improvements are needed?
