Rest days are a test in patience, forcing me to take the “recovery is part of training” thing seriously. Looking forward to getting out there tomorrow, and today I’ll keep myself busy with chores, I suppose. 😩

Running and hitting your macros is weird, because what do you mean I can have two fistfuls of Chex mix to the face because I need more carbs, and still get to enjoy broccoli, a sweet potato and rice at dinner?

Ran to classical music this morning and you know, I didn’t hate it. Definitely not a speed work type of soundtrack but it was nice for an easy run 🎧🏃🏽‍♂️

Summer in Florida has definitely arrived. Psyching myself up for my afternoon run - I'm hydrated, laced up, and headphones on...only to find a surprise thunderstorm crashed the party in the 30 seconds it took me to walk from one end of my house to the other. 😭
