9 times out of 10 my music has the goal to put people in a good mood. Even when I make songs about heartbreak like Virgo-Hearted or 40 Nights there are specific lines in which I remind the listener to still have divine confidence even when they feel like things aren’t going well.

I try to make hit songs but that’s not all I try to do because I want to paint a picture of my ENTIRE life. I made “40 Night” to show my heartbreak. I made “Divine Mothers” to show my appreciation. I made “School Days” and “The First” to tell my story…

One of my biggest inspirations to do music is Andre 3,000 . I remember his verse from International Players Anthem, word for word to this day…. A living example of how southern rappers get drastically overlooked in conversations about the greatest.

The “You mad or Nah” mentality was the worst thing thing could happen to our generation. We taught each other to hide normal emotions even when no rational human-being wouldn’t be frustrated. We spent a decade pretending to be emotionally impenetrable.

Too many people have normalized trying to give police more privilege than they have or should have. Police should never be able to execute someone based on what a citizen is simply accused of. That’s not their role. One person should never be a jury, judge and executioner.

My car battery died 2 hours before a showcase that I was set to perform at… I left my car where it was sitting and had my homeboy take me to go to the show because I’m always gonna make it back home to Hip-Hop.
