Islam says, we can limit mockery tendency by opening our eyes to the fact that when we think that other deserve to be ridiculed, we are actually deceiving ourselves and making ourselves fools.

A mother has the same right on the children in the old age as the father. Therefore when treating parents with respect and care, no Muslim is allowed to discriminate between father and mother, and must ensure they both are cared well.
