Sanji taking care of Zoro in chapter 1012 was heartwarming. In Film Gold, Oda advised that the staff should definitely add a scene where Sanji is secretly worried about Zoro, who was going to be executed. On the other hand, Zoro was worried about Sanji in chapter 815.🧡

Oda (2016): One Piece was supposed to end in 5 years. But when I come up with interesting ideas, it'd be disrespectful to my audience not to write about it. It's like I'm not putting my best effort into it. So it didn't go as planned and became a long-term serialization.💪

Oda (2012): When the large earthquake struck in 2011, I asked myself if I am allowed to draw manga. But, when I saw the news that a bookstore in the affected area allowed more than 100 children to read one Shonen Jump at no cost, I felt I had to draw manga to encourage them.💪

In 2015, editor Sugita was annoyed with Oda for submitting his manuscript so late, but when Sugita read it, he couldn't help crying because the chapter where Rebecca meets Kyros was so touching. Oda himself cried when drawing it.😭
