Things that were known but powerfully reinforced this week. India is certainly interfering in Canada but it’s not even close, Beijing’s interference in Canadian elections and evident connectivity to the LPC especially, is off the scales. Russia is a fairly minimal player here.
Canada has a problem (as I’ve been told for years) that bureaucratic heads of CSIS and RCMP are in danger of being under the thumb of the powerful ministers and especially the PM and his office. Think about it. Intelligence or law enforcement could be asked or better yet,
suggested; hinted at, or simply understand for Ottawa career reasons, what threats to focus on and what threats to ignore. (Hey can you juice up a threat timeline on the protests in Ottawa a bit, maybe there is a Russian funder or something we can put in that timeline?; … Hey
this person and this person is a big fundraiser in x and y communities in GTA where Canadian elections are won or lost. Don’t think we want to look too hard here.) I.E. looking at the world the way you want rather than the real threats to Canada. This is a idea I brought up in Wilful Blindness and I think the Commission lawyers are getting at it.
I wonder if Commission lawyers will interrogate whether Trudeau’s PMO has been blocking recommended national security laws since 2019, and why. We may never get that deep but it looks very probable a mountain of evidence will support new laws to protect our democracy.
@scoopercooper @PierrePoilievre needs to make a big purge of these stale, mealy, corrupted bureaucrats. Clean the house!
@scoopercooper India and China exert some influence. It pales in comparison to Israel. Israel has the most greatest effect here in Canada. It dictates policies in Canada at every level and does it in plain view. Any attempt to challenge the leash of Israel results in banishment.
@scoopercooper This current government has betrayed Canadians. The mountain of evidence is starting to show how this government has allowed this to happen to benefit from it.
@scoopercooper What we’re talking about is the last election & the Liberals in bed with the Chinese Government to win the election, election fraud.Begs the question what are they involved in today & planning for the next election & how do Canadians prevent that with the corrupt Liberals in power
@scoopercooper It was Harper that decimated the glass-wall between the PMO and Privy Council. You need to go back further. And why aren't you talking about how our winner-take-all FPTP voting system is an open invitation to manipulate voting results??
@scoopercooper Surely, step one has to be complete separation of the PMO from the process of selecting the heads of the RCMP and CSIS. Both organizations, but especially the RCMP, have lost a great deal of trust from Canadians and often appear to be under the PMO's thumb, as you put it.
@scoopercooper "Protect our democracy" , chilling words when linked to Trudeau and his liberal communists . "Post-national status" as promised ...
@scoopercooper Why should this be about this PMO only, as you clearly want it to be? It should extend back to previous PMOs and include the opposition leader who seems to have pretty juicy outside ties.
@scoopercooper If such legislation were to be passed then you could rightly claim it as your legacy. Thank you for your work Mr. Cooper
@scoopercooper @7Trg6 What are the use of new laws if they are not enforced?
