Take your parent off the pedestal. Look at their relationships, the way they speak about themselves, & their beliefs. They’re human. Unsure of how to do life. Like all of us. Leaving the childhood illusion that they’re all knowing gods is the first step in healing.

We're addicted to external validation. We think everyone needs to share our opinions, see things our way, and validate our experiences. In reality: they don't. Freedom is self validation. Living our own values. Not forcing people to bend to our reality.

Find people who are curious. Who don’t mock what makes them uncomfortable. Who show empathy for how different people see the world. So many people are projecting their internal shame onto everyone around them. Let your inner circle be inspired.

A sign of an insecure attachment pattern over-giving to someone whose shown you they won’t reciprocate. Instead of pulling back on what you give, or ending the relationship you try to give more to avoid abandonment.
