I know defensive backs have an instinct and the personal glory that comes with an interception, but I'd be so impressed if on 4th and 9 and the offense throws a 50-yard bomb/punt, to see a DB swat an easy interception to the ground.

Infield fly rule. I get why it exists, but why doesn't the fielder have to actually catch the ball? If I'm commish, he drops it batter's safe and all runners move up a base. Currently it's smarter to drop it, see if runners do something stupid #raindelayquestions @jasonbenetti

Having to appeal to the first base ump on a swing is kind of weird if you think about it. Why doesn't the first-base ump just call it a strike if it's a strike. Instead it's like a petty little game. "It was a strike, but no one asked me, so we'll keep the call wrong." #mlbtwt
